Ende November beginnen die traditionellen Weihnachtsmärkte. Je nach Region werden sie auch Christkindlmarkt oder Adventmarkt genannt. Bis zum 24. Dezember ziehen tausende Weihnachtsmärkte Millionen Besucher an. Auf den Weihnachtsmärkten gibt es viele Verkaufsstände.
