Israeli Lynch Mob Hangs Palestinian Bus Driver in Jerusalem

Al-Ramouni-1A Palestinian bus driver Yusuf Hasan al-Ramouni, 32, from al-Tur in East Jerusalem was found hanged to death at the so-called “Har Hotzvim” bus terminal northwest of the occupied Jerusalem late Sunday.

Palestinians woke up Monday Nov. 17 2014 on a new tragedy, the young quite bus driver al-Ramouni was found hanged to death in his vehicle.

The Israeli jewish criminal gang decided to kill the driver, who has worked over the past years on the transfer of Israelis from their homes to their work. Al-Ramouni was working with the Israeli Egged bus company.

The driver’s body was found by his supervisor hanging inside his vehicle in a bus depot in “Har Hotzvim”, an industrial zone in north Jerusalem, at the start of the route he was supposed to have driven late on Sunday.

ramouni-1His death comes after months of tension in East Jerusalem in which dozens of Palestinians were killed and hundreds were injured.

In July 2014, a Palestinian teenager was burned to death by Jewish assailants as a revenge attack for the abduction and killing of three Jewish colonists by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli police tries to cover the crime. He claimed in a statement that there was “no suspicion of criminal activity” and that al-Ramouni appeared to be a suicide.

The victim’s brother, Osama al-Ramouni said the family did not accept the verdict of suicide, saying his body “had bruises on it,” suggesting he had been “tortured” before his death.

“My brother had children and was a happy man. It is impossible that he killed himself,” he told AFP.

“He had no problems that would make him do it,” he said, adding that a post-mortem would “reveal everything.”

“We reject the suicide theory. We all know it was settlers who killed him,” he said.

Medical expert, speaking on the condition of anonymity said that al-Ramouni’s death did not appear to be a suicide.

After an autopsy it was found that the man’s first vertebra was not dislocated, which usually happens in the cases of suicide by hanging, the expert said.

He added that postmortem lividity, or livor mortis, was found on the buttocks of the body and not the lower limbs, which indicates that al-Ramouni was not dangled.

The expert said he assumed al-Ramouni was killed in a planned attack, and that conclusive evidence disproving or confirming his suspicions required lab work, which would take over three months.

Ramouni’s fellow bus driver Muatasem Fakeh also said he had seen evidence that the death was not a suicide.

“We saw signs of violence on his body,” Fakeh told AFP.

“He was hanged over the steps at the back of the bus in a place where it would be impossible to hang yourself alone,” he added.

The victim’s brother, Osama al-Ramouni said the family did not accept the verdict of suicide, saying his body “had bruises on it,” suggesting he had been “tortured” before his death.
