Finally, the European Union expressed concern over the continuing violations of the Palestinian Authority (PNA Militia) for Human Rights!

The European Union has expressed its concern [1] about the Palestinian Authority unlawful arrests and ill treatment, freedom of assembly, freedom of press and equal opportunities for women during the EU-Palestine policy dialogue on human rights, good governance and rule of law which was held on Nov. 27 2013.

The EU commended the Palestinian side for its work on a National Action Plan for human rights and efforts to combat torture and improve access in some detention centres.

The EU addressed its concern about – inter alia – unlawful arrests and ill treatment, freedom of assembly, freedom of press and equal opportunities for women. Palestinian progress in strengthening the rule of law through reform in the justice and security sector was equally discussed.

The PA continues arresting journalists, bloggers, academics, political activists, politicians from the ranks of the opposition as well as political prisoners released from the israeli jails and throwing them into its own jail without trial, as a part of a what is called “security coordination with Israel”, in which both the israeli criminals and the PA dictatorial regime try to protect their power by controlling the freedom of expression.

The PNA systematically tortures the detainees at its prisons and does not allow the Red Cross and other human rights organizations to visit the detainees during their detention. The “human rights organizations” working under PNA control in the occupied territories claim that their duties are ONLY to document the Israeli violations of human rights. This is not true. What happens is that they are not allowed to document the PNA atrocities and are afraid to report about the PNA violations of human rights. The price they would incur for exposing the PNA would be to have their organizations closed and their funding, which they receive from zionist-friendly organizations in western countries, disappear.

The continued violation of prisoners rights at PA jails are documented in preparation for legal action at international courts at the right time.

The EU has financed the construction of a number of jails in the Occupied Palestinian territories, and the EU has a police unit stationed in Ramallah, the so-called “EUPOL COPPS”, headed by one Mr. Kenneth DEANE. The COPPS unit is responsible for training Palestinian [2] “security personnel”, mainly the militarized police, on how to arrest and deal with detainees before and while in prisons.
