Merry Christmas in Video

From Rabi Bashour – In this time of year, people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem Palestine. They celebrate a birth that was meant to propagate a set of ideals to make the world a better place. 2010 years later, that same birthplace is plagued by a regime that practices the exact opposite of those ideals. Bethlehem is surrounded by a racist wall of biblical proportions, by regime which is racist to biblical proportions. Yet people celebrate.

The people of Palestine also celebrate. They need to, as any other people would need to celebrate. After all it is the season to make exceptions. In this season, people make exceptions when it comes to their spending, to their diets, to the way they treat each other. So it is only logical to make an exception by putting an effort for the land, the homes and people of the birthplace of Christmas… for justice in Palestine see the video below.

ON HIS BIRTHDAY IN 2010

ONE CAN ONLY WONDER

IF HE WAS HERE TODAY

WHAT WOULD HE SAY

HE MAY ASK HIM NOT TO THROW THAT STONE

HE MAY ASK HER TO TURN THE LEFT CHEEK

BUT AFTER HE SEES THIS THIS AND THAT

HE WOULD CRY IN ANGER AND DISMAY

THIS IS MY HOME

THINGS HAVE GONE ASTRAY

HOW CAN THIS INJUSTICE BE?

IN THIS LAND

UNDER THIS TREE

HE WOULD ASK HIM TO BE PATIENT

HE WOULD ASK HER NOT TO LOSE HOPE

HE WOULD ASK THEM TO PERSEVERE

O PEOPLE OF PALESTINE

THOU SHALT NOT DESPAIR

THOU SHALT NOT SURRENDER

FOR LOVE, JUSTICE AND PEACE

FOR ME

YOU SHALL PREVAIL

  • Turn the other cheek is a verse that simply means don’t be influenced by insults. It has nothing to do with pacifism. He never taught that.

Gospel of St. John Chapter Two
verses [11] This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee; and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him. [12] After this he went down to Capharnaum, he and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they remained there not many days. [13] And the pasch of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. [14] And he found in the temple them that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting. [15] And when he had made, as it were, a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, the sheep also and the oxen, and the money of the changers he poured out, and the tables he overthrew. [16] And to them that sold doves he said: Take these things hence, and make not the house of my Father a house of traffic. [17] And his disciples remembered, that it was written: The zeal of thy house hath eaten me up. [18] The Jews, therefore, answered, and said to him: What sign dost thou shew unto us, seeing thou dost these things? [19] Jesus answered, and said to them: Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. [20] The Jews then said: Six and forty years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days? [21] But he spoke of the temple of his body. [22] When therefore he was risen again from the dead, his disciples remembered, that he had said this, and they believed the scripture, and the word that Jesus had said. [23] Now when he was at Jerusalem, at the pasch, upon the festival day, many believed in his name, seeing his signs which he did. [24] But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men, [25] And because he needed not that any should give testimony of man: for he knew what was in man.

What Our Lord Jesus Christ taught is this exactly:

Christ’s sermon upon the mount. The eight beatitudes.

[1] And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain, and when he was set down, his disciples came unto him.
[2] And opening his mouth, he taught them, saying:
[3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[4] Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
[5] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
[6] Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
[7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
[8] Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
[9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God.
[10] Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[11] Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake:
[12] Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you.
[13] You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.

“It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.” This occurred when the stone temple that the Jews thought so much of, and abused in every way and never followed what they were told to do by God, that stone temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Roman General Titus.

To all those who do what Our Lord Jesus Christ taught, may your Christmas be blessed and holy! A special blessing to you and your family Ms. Salam.

Everyone please note that Muslims have made the al-Aqsa Mosque a house of prayer like ‘Isa al-Maseeh said it should be.

He will return at Sayyidah, His Parousia – second coming from heaven, and judge all men by the law of God at Qiyamah, the judgement.
