Calling For Any Apology Action on Balfour

PRC – Petition to David Cameron: Calling for Any Apology Action on Balfour Declaration – Click here to Sign a Petition

Balfour Declaration is a day that will be written for ever in the history of Palestine and its people. In November the 2nd each year we remember this black day. This year is 93rd anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. We shall remember it with actions not only words.

We shall not forget the suffering and pain resulting as a consequence in this tragic event. Balfour Declaration is an event that caused the dispossession and killing of Palestinians till now. Successive British governments have neither apologized nor pressured for a genuine solution for the Palestinian cause.

We, the Palestinian Return Centre, Palestinian Community in the UK and Palestinian Forum in Britain; started this petition initiative to push current British government to recognize its historical failure in Palestine.

It is also to urge the government to play a more active role in promoting justice and human rights. Additionally, we are calling for an apology and to defend the rights and properties of British Palestinians. Anyone over the age of sixteen and, is British of Palestinian origin is encouraged to complete the petition. In order to receive a written response from the Prime Minster we need at least 1000 signatures so please encourage your family and friends to sign the petition.

Letter to British Premier, David Cameron,

To the Right Honourable David Cameron MP

Dear Prime Minister,

We the undersigned British of Palestinian origin appeal to HM Government, in recognition of its historical role in the ongoing plight of Palestinians, to take historic steps in ending it.

November the 2nd will mark the 93rd anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. This declaration is the main symbol of Britain’s failed policy in Palestine. The turbulent effects of this failure still remain with us and Palestinians more than any other have been the victims. For decades Palestinians have suffered from endless wars, experienced massacres and were forced to flee from their land.

The real tragedy Mr. Cameron is not that Palestinians are suffering, it is that they have suffered for so long, even though the moral and legal weight have been on their side right from the beginning, and the international community have failed miserably to correct the historical injustice. The right of Palestinians to return to their lands is enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination, The International Convention on Civil and Political Rights. Right of return is guaranteed under Humanitarian and Human Rights Law and including countless UN resolutions.

Palestinian rights were further reinforced, In July 2004, by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), when the ICJ was tasked by the UN General Assembly to issue an advisory opinion on the Legal Consequences of Construction of a Wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. This was an unprecedented moral and legal victory for the Palestinian cause. However, six years on, instead of finding a more chastened Israel we find a more hostile Israel, demonstrating impunity for international law and displaying yet more aggression against the Palestinians.

Mr. Cameron we are not calling on HM Government to side with the Palestinians but to side with the moral and legal positions that are unequivocally made by the highest judicial body in the world and countless human rights organisations. This is the least any citizen can demand from their government that is committed to law, justice and human rights.

We greatly appreciate your stance on Gaza and the Flotilla. And we were very encouraged by many of your MPs who also held a very strong moral and legal position following the attack on the flotilla. Your coalition partners, including the Deputy Prime Minster Nick Clegg, have written and voiced their concern over Israel’s deep hostility towards the Palestinians. Not only is it immoral and illegal it is also dangerous for the region, the international community and of course Britain.

We need a new politics for our foreign affairs, a new politics that leans towards greater justice and human rights. This coalition government has an opportunity to start that. Mr. Cameron the long arc of history may still judge the British position favourably; In Palestine our story could be a tale of redemption and reconciliation and not just as a flawed and duplicitous imperialist. The words you speak and the position you take from now can turn a new page in Britain’s role in Palestine. The next four years in office is an opportunity for you to remake this history and reposition Britain as a voice for justice, peace and human rights in the region.

History will judge Britain favourably in the region only when Britain plays a major part in ending the suffering of Palestinians. This can only begin when Britain apologises for its role in this affair and becomes visibly active in undoing the injustices of the past six decades. A courageous step will be made when our Prime Minster defends the rights and properties of British citizens who fled violence and persecution in Palestine. These citizens still hold deeds to their land in Palestine but still they have been denied their right to return to their land and reclaim their home from which they were expelled.

Now, after 93 years, 7.1 million Palestinians, three quarters of the population, have been made refugees. Most are living on handouts from the international community, many facing intolerable pain and suffering on a daily basis. They see no end to their suffering as Israel continues, in an affront to international law and justice, to change facts on the ground by taking more land, building more settlements and imprisoning 1.7 million Palestinians in Gaza.

I can sympathize with “All” Palestinians. Helen Thomas was destroyed for syaing something similar, “Tell them to go home. back to where they came from, etc.” After all of the war and aggression perpitrated by Zionists, including the USS Liberty Attack which must still come before the Courts as there exists no statute of limitations regarding “Murder”, the Zionists must be held to account as well as the Brits who were behind this atrocity in the first place. Vive la Palestine!

In October 1914, The Ottoman Empire Initiated Hostilities Against The Allies, And When The Ottoman Empire Lost The War Their Territories In The Levant Were Mandated By The League Of Nations To Great Britain And France. Both Great Britain And France Ensured That All Religions In The Levant Would Have National Homelands. The Muslim Arabs Were Initially Given Iraq And What Is Today Called Syria, Then Transjordan Was Added, Which was Taken From The Jewish National Homeland As Originally Stipulated In The San Remo Conference, And Given To Saudi Hashemites (Not Indigenous ‘Palestinians’). The Christians Were Given The Newly Created Lebanon, And The Jews Were Given What Is Today Israel, Jordan, Gaza And The West Bank. Months After The San Remo Conference Was Concluded, Eastern Palestine (Jordan) Was Taken From The Jews And Given To Hashemites From Saudi Arabia.

The Term Palestine Is A Western Term Going Back To The Ancient Romans To Describe The Territory Consisting Of Today’s Israel, West Bank, Gaza And Jordan. Palestine Translates To ‘Land Of The Philistines’. The Ottoman Empire Took The Roman Name And Called The Territory Filistin. The Area Of Palestine Isn’t Even An Administrative Entity Of The Ottoman Empire, For Palestine Overlapped Several Administrative Subdivisions of Ottoman Syria. A Good Example Of Another Non-Administrative Territorial Name That Overlaps Many Legal Boundaries Would Be That Of New England In The United States. Before And Immediately After World War I, A So-Called Palestinian Would Call Himself A Muslim, An Arab, A Jew, A Christian, A Druze, Or A Syrian. There Were No Persons Who Described Themselves As ‘Palestinian’. As Such, The Mandate Powers Of Great Britain And France Created States For Jews (Israel), The Christians (Lebanon) And The Muslim Arabs (Jordan, Iraq And Syria). There Was No Need To Create A Palestinian State, Because There Was No Ethnic Palestinian Identity.

It Should Be Pointed Out That The Province Within Which The Levant Existed Under The Ottoman Empire Was Called Syria. Syria Today Is But A Small Portion Of The Syria That Existed Before The Fall Of The Ottoman Empire. Lebanon Was A Part Of Ottoman Syria (The Bottom Half Of Today’s Lebanon Was Also A Part Of Ottoman Palestine, But No Palestinian Liberation Group Has Ever Claimed Southern Lebanon.), But There Are No Groups Demanding A Return Of Lebanon To Syria (Or A Return Of Jordan, Israel, And Portions Of Iraq And Iran Back To Syria For That Matter).

The Balfour declaration is a moot subject. The real point of contention is the Ottoman Empire’s war on the Allies. The Ottoman Empire lost the war, hence the Jews living in Ottoman Syria (like all other religions residing in Ottoman Syria) were given a homeland. Why would anyone have a problem with that?

    • Why would anybody have a problem with being the victim of looting, theft, genocide?
Nobody “gave the Muslim Arabs” anything. All what the british empire did was to steal the region blind and to introduce the jews, who nobody wanted.

Balfour was a criminal, as was the intellectually challenged king who conspired with him to give what was not theirs to give to the zionists. Fraudsters is what such people are called.

The establishment of israel in Palestine was and is a crime, the fraud of Balfour and his king are the only basis on which israel supports its supposed “right” of existence. Problem for them is, as everybody knows, that no right whatsoever arises from criminal activity, but that of being brought to the gallows.

The crimes of Balfour and the zionists will be righted, and eventually the jews will leave Palestine if they do not want to live in peace as neighbors and not criminal occupiers. Palestine is not “their” homeland but that of us Palestinians, and they will leave by their own will because they understand that, and that it is in their own best interest to leave.

Can you please delete the comment by “Dean Jackson” with his abnoxious and made up terms.

I just watched a Youtube video of University of Illinois law school professor Francis Boyle talking about being hounded and blacklisted by American zionists because of his legal commentary of the illegality and illegal actions of the zionist settler state.

Other lesser known people of conscience in the West have been physically attacked, hounded to death, framed and rendered unemployable by individual cells of zionist activists working in concert with others in order to strangle discourse and you allow that creature to vandalise your website with his deranged zionist gibberish.

      • It may be true that many in the western world have had their lives and livelihoods destroyed by zionists for merely speaking out about their criminal activity. It is also true that ALL Palestinians have had our lives and livelihoods destroyed by the zionists because we own what they want and because we are who we are. I am a refugee in third generation and I was forced out of my homeland under threat of death for writing about their crimes against my neighbors, family and myself.

If we Palestinians have not backed down, if I have not backed down, despite out vast inferiority in possibilities at our disposal, then why do you in the western world back down before the injustices caused by these people? They are bullies and nothing else. You, as we Palestinians, have all the law on your side. Learn to stand up to them!

In Case You Forgot, Turkey Invaded Cyprus In 1974, Expelling 180,000 Greek Cypriots From Northern Cyprus. Cyprus has remained an OCCUPIED Territory since 1974, but no one in the Muslim community is protesting Turkey’s action, nor demanding that Turkey leave the occupied territory in Cyprus.

The Silence Of The Progressive Movement On The Cyprus Question Is Proof That The Progressive Movement Is Being Manipulated When It Comes To Israel.

Dean Jackson, you’re alleging that it was just the jews living in Ottoman Syria who got a homeland??? You seem to forget about the FLOOD of Europeans (who happened to practice Judaism as a religion. Remember, Judaism is a RELIGION, RIGHT?! That’s what we’re always told) who flooded into Palestine as a result of Balfour’s “Declaration”. And you also neglect to talk about how, as the British were mandated authority of Palestine, they set quotas for how many jews were allowed to immigrate to Palestine. The Brits understood the discord this immigration would foment (understandably) among the arabic muslims who had lived in Palestine for centuries. The Europeans who practiced Judaism who immigrated to Palestine as a result of Balfour’s “Declaration” regularly violated the quota, and were guilty of human smuggling, in attempt to pad their numbers in Palestine. In no way can the story of Palestine from 1917-1948 be told in a light that favors “Israel”. The facts speak otherwise.

Judeo- Christian. Who came up with this oxymoron? Had to be a Jew. Talmudic Jews are the most perverted, devious, untrustworthy, Christ hating people on earth. Their basic philosophy is anyone that is not a Jew is on par with cattle. They prove this view of humanity on a daily basis in places like Gaza and the West Bank. As a taxpayer it disgusts me to think that our elected representatives have sold their souls to Zionist that couldn’t give a damn about anyone or anything other than furthering their goal of destroying Christianity and world domination. Talmudic Jews have held most of the cabinet positions in US administrations going back 50 years at least. They are behind the destruction of the US and Federal Reserve monetary policy attests to this fact. Talmudic Jews fund and control every major lesbian or homosexual organization in America. AIPAC uses money we give to Israel to bribe and control our Congress and our representatives have become so corrupt that anything Israel wants Israel gets, even if it is detrimental to US interests. The events unfolding today have been a long time in the making and by all appearances the dastardly plans of Talmudic Jews is coming to fruition. Pharisees were behind the crucifixion of Christ and that same attitude persists today. The flag of Israel should have a pentagram on it. That of course would have been too obvious so they opted for the Rothschild family crest instead. Talmudic Judaism will bring about the downfall of America. It is only a matter of time.

Who is Rabbi Yosef Ovadia? Is he a fringe element in Israel?

No, he is not. His party has members currently serving in the Israeli government.

“Shas is a political party in Israel … Shas won 11 seats … and holds four cabinet posts. Its current leader … is one of four Deputy Prime Ministers…”
    http://newstopics.jpost.com/topic/Shas
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shas

FYI, check out Shas’ founder Rabbi Ovadia Yosef’s recent speech as refferenced in the Jerusalem Post a mainstream Israeli newspaper:

The sole purpose of non-Jews is to serve Jews, according to Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the head of Shas’s Council of Torah Sages and a senior Sephardi adjudicator.
“Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel,” he said in his weekly Saturday night sermon on the laws regarding the actions non-Jews are permitted to perform on Shabbat.
According to Yosef, the lives of non-Jews in Israel are safeguarded by divinity, to prevent losses to Jews.
“In Israel, death has no dominion over them… With gentiles, it will be like any person – they need to die, but [God] will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money.
This is his servant… That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew,” Yosef said.
“Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat.
That is why gentiles were created,” he added.Yosef’s Saturday night sermons have seen many controversial statements from the 90-year-old rabbi. In August, Yosef caused a diplomatic uproar when he wished a plague upon the Palestinian people and their leaders, a curse he retracted a few weeks later, when he blessed them along with all of Israel’s other peace-seeking neighbors.

  • Of course I signed the Petition. Everyone else please do the same.

In a very related vein – please see this:

    And this –

    http://palestinecry.blogspot.com/2010/11/san-diego-county-kahal.html

Also, let me add that for England to give Palestine to European Jews is utterly ridiculous and unlawful and absurd. It is criminal. Everything the Kahal does is criminal.

“Dean Jackson, you’re alleging that it was just the jews living in Ottoman Syria who got a homeland???“

Where did I allege that? I wrote:

“Both Great Britain And France Ensured That All Religions In The Levant Would Have National Homelands. The Balfour Declaration is moot on the point of providing native Ottoman Syrian Jews a homeland in Ottoman Syria once the Ottoman Empire lost the war. The British and French provided national homelands for all native religions in Ottoman Syria, so why not native Jews?

For those of you who forgot, Turkey occupied northern Cyprus on 1974. I don’t see Muslims demonstrating over Turkey’s occupation of northern Cyprus.

The fact that the Progressive movement is silent on Cyprus, only caring to criticize Israel, is proof that the Progressive movement has allowed itself to be manipulated. Shame on Progressives!

Correction to my last comment: “southeastern part of Ottoman Syria” should read southwestern part of Syria.

  • Speaking of nonsense and empire building.

The following is legalist nonsense and an out and out lie.

    From:

    http://docstalk.blogspot.com/2009/12/jewish-legal-rights-to-judea-and.html

    “ 1. The Balfour Declaration of 1917 ….

    2. The San Remo decision made on 25 April 1920, incorporated the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations. ….

    3. Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations provides for the creation of mandates. ….

    4. The Palestine Mandate of the League of Nations, included the following significant recital,

    “Whereas recognition has thereby been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country;

This had never happened before in history. Palestine was to be held for the Jewish people wherever they lived. No such recognition had ever been according to anyone else, anywhere, ever. ”
    ….
    ___________________________________________

Obviously Palestine was referred to as Palestine. The Ottoman Empire had a different way internally of referring to Palestine, but they understood it as Palestine for so it had been for 15 centuries before the Ottomans and still was and is.

The idea that Britain and France and the United States and Russia and the League of Nations had any right to divide up the Ottoman Empire in any fashion because of a War started in Europe among Europeans is absurd. That this war, World War I, which the Europeans dragged the Ottoman Empire into via the slaving colonialization of the region by Europeans (especially Oil grabs and “Emirate” creation beginning in 1892) and a specious European “alliance” forced on the Ottomans, had any lawful bearing on the lawful dominion of Arabs over the region is as ridiculous as is any idea that the European troops, or any other, had any business carrying their vile internecine war into the region for any reason. World War I was financed on both European sides by Rothschild and other Zionist Jew Bankers for the specific purpose of invading the Middle East and unlawfully pillaging the Holy Land of Christ belonging to the Christian and Muslim Arab people and steal it from them.

The idea that any nation or group of nations could declare that land of others that had belonged to those other people for many centuries could be “mandated” to be given to a group of interlopers scattered through out he world (so called Jews) who claimed to be related to a small group that had lived there many, many centuries before is absolute evil lying theft and nothing else.

Similarly, the same vile non-logic is used to give the “United Nations” rights over sovereign nations, that by centuries of recognized real law throughout the world they could never have. The latest example is the genocide committed on Iraq by the Zio-puppet United States of America for the interests of the same Zio-Colonizing Europeans and Zionist criminal invaders that are responsible for the Naqba.

For the Zionist Jews to base their spurious claim on the Bible and claim that as their foundation to instigate the unlawful genocidally invasive action of Europe and the Zionists upon Palestine is a two fold lie. Number one, NO where else has any nation been allowed to claim that their religious interpretation of ancient texts allows then to simply take what belongs to someone else. Number two, it makes Occupied Palestine subject to theocratic genocide at the whim of monsters who have shown themselves, in the creation of the first two World Wars and Bolshevik Communism, incapable of treating other people with any decency at all.

For all of these reasons the whole world community, under the watchful eye of the just God who cares for all and exercises his just providence over all men and provides them with the intellect and conscience to make laws binding upon themselves that are just and equal and fair for all people, MUST reject this criminal genocidal invasion and occupation of Palestine by the Zionists, forever.

Free Palestine! One State, a Palestinian state! Full return for all Palestinians!

      Response:

When you say, “No such recognition had ever been according to anyone else, anywhere, ever”, you have a point. Victorious empires up to then usually took control of the conquered area. Britain and France, however, didn’t do that. The Allies created independent states in the former Ottoman Syria for the native Arab, Christian and Jewish population.

Steve, it was The Ottoman Empire that initiated hostilities against the Allies! Germany, if you recall your history, also lost World War I. Guess what happened to Germany’s overseas possessions? Germany, like the Ottoman Empire, lost her colonies. Guess what happened to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, that fought on the Central Powers’ side? That empire was also dissolved.

Jews already lived in Ottoman Syria, so creating a Jewish state was going to happen no matter what. What do you care if foreign Jews should decide to move to the new Jewish state in the former Ottoman Syria? The Arabs got Jordan, Iraq and today’s Syria. The Christians were given Lebanon. So why shouldn’t the Jews get their state also?

The Ottoman Empire never referred to persons living in Ottoman Syria as ‘Palestinian’. Palestine was an area in Ottoman Syria. Palestine was not a legal administrative area of the Ottoman Empire. Palestine was an area within the legal administrative area called Syria. Hence there were no people called ‘Palestinian’. They were Syrian.

I agree that the modern Jewish claim to southwestern Ottoman Syria (today’s Israel, plus territories, and Jordan) does not derive from the Bible. It derives from the collapse/defeat of the Ottoman Empire and the resulting 1920 San Remo Treaty. God works His magic using the legal standards of the day!

I do not know how to reply to this request. All leaders and some among your very own are puppets of the bankers. If..IF people could come into the understanding that Israel was a name that Jah gave to Jacob and hence his name is Israel.Do not expect much from cameron or the queen for they all worship Lucifer who is the devil, serpent and Satan. Here again a name change but they are the same.Black is white and white is black (or black and white checks for that matter)This would be the Jesuits who worships Lucifer but not Satan. Where in is the difference…..NONE !

Of course, the supreme irony has to be Turkey being the lead nation allowing its ports to be used for the Gaza flotilla relief sorties, including ports in occupied northern Cyprus! The hypocrisy here is so thick that it crosses into the surreal.
