Doctors Protest Discrimination in Europe

Auf Deutsch

000_5665Saturday, October 31 2009, the Arab doctors in Europe sent strong criticism to the Austrian government during the opening of their medical congress at the Hotel Modul in Vienna.
The criticism came in the wake of denials of visa by the Austrian embassies Arab doctors, who were denied entering Europe to participate in the conference, which was held in this traditional “city of doctors, medicine, science and knowledge”, Vienna.

Are the Doctors terrorists?

The Austrian Embassies in the Arab countries of Egypt, Syria 000_5883aand Iraq denied the Palestinian, Iraqi and Syrian Doctors the necessary visas to join the 21 annual meeting of the Union of Arab Doctors and and Pharmacists in Austria, which held its conference under the patronage of Prim. Dr. Walter Dorner, President of the Austrian Medical Chamber.

During the opening session of the conference at the Modul Hotel in Vienna, Dr. Tammam Kelani, President of the Union of Arab Doctors and and Pharmacists in Austria, strongly criticized the Austrian embassies which refused to give visa’s  to these doctors.

Dr. Kelani said „many colleagues from Iraq, Palestine and Gaza were not able to 000_5697attend the conference because Austrian embassies did not give them visas. About 25 doctors from Iraq wanted to take part in our congress in Austria, but the Austrian Embassy in Damascus refused to give them visas. The same thing to a Palestinian doctor from Gaza who applied for visa at the Austrian Embassy in Cairo, but his application was refused. In Amman, however, the Austrian Embassy treated the doctors a bit better: four Jordanian colleagues were able to take part in our congress after they received visas“.

Dr. Kelani said that the Arab Union of Doctors in Europe (Arabmed) exists since 1984. The union set itself the task of forming and building a bridge between the doctors in Europe and the Arab countries.

Dr. Kelani also criticized the extremist politicians in Austria and 000_5527Germany. He said: “We doctors are an integral part of this country. We are a part of Austria. We are a part of Europe. The assertions of some extremist politicians in Austria and in Germany like Mr. Sarrazin are merely an act of discrimination. The Arabs doctors are part of the Europe, they are doing their hard work as citizens in Europe, and have always shown a sharp performance. Many of the doctors who are here have high positions, are primary physicians, chief physicians, professors at the clinics, universities and hospitals throughout Europe.

The Arab physician’s clinics are popular and full of people, Europeans, due their good medical care, good knowledge and kind treatment. Some hospitals in Austria, particularly in Lower Austria, were not able to discharge their medical duties without the work of Arab doctors.

  • “Dr. Kelani said „many colleagues from Iraq, Palestine and Gaza were not able to attend the conference because Austrian embassies did not give them visas.”

    – This shows the hypocrites at work in every country in every place who give in to the tyrants, whether the tyrants are Zionist Jews from Israel or Neo-Fascists from the United States. Wrong is wrong and must be resisted and overcome. Obviously the visas should have been given to the people from Iraq, Palestine and Gaza. Free Iraq, Palestine and Gaza!!!
