Musicians From Tirol Greet Vienna

Tirol and South Tirol greet Vienna was a successful weekend events held on June 13 and 14 2009, before the municipality of Vienna on the Rathausplatz. Thousands of Austrians joined the 000_9079activities organized by Tirol and South Tirol. During the event, the Tyroleans sent a special thanks to Dr. Michael Häupl, the mayor of Vienna. The events presented the history, future, and the tradition of the Tirolean people in a beautiful and cultural and historic exhibition with shows, music, traditional clothes and food, … which present the traditions of Tirol as a part of the Austrian society and culture.

On 14 June 2009 I also visited the Tirolean events, I listened to their music, and 000_9258I photographed the singers at the Rathausplatz. The air and the sun, together with the beautiful Tirolean music, touched my soul and feelings. I joined in and danced in the middle of thousands of happy people, and I felt that I had missed other events of the Tirolean people, which had taken place earlier, before my arrival. Assalaamu alaykum Ms. Salam,

Your name, “peace” is very beautiful. I am so very glad you were able to dance and enjoy people and the sun and air.

    BarakAllah fiik,

Steve in Vista – were you also so very glad that non-Muslims were able to dance and enjoy people and the sun and air ?

We wouldn’t want to see any bias in your perceptions would we?

    Assalaamu alaykum Ms. Salam,

Your forbearance is genuine and a witness unto your Godly and civilized upbringing. God bless your parents and you.

    BarakAllah fiik,

To: Ben — Salaam al-Maseeh is a Christian greeting. Assalaamu alaykum is a Muslim greeting. For centuries real Christians and Muslims in the Arab Homeland have lived in peace with one another. Both Islam and the ancient Catholic faith worship the true God. It took Jew Zionist and European and American invaders into the Arab Homeland to bring strife, war and bloody genocide. For the record, I am Catholic in faith and Slavic in ethnicity and American by land of birth. I have known over the decades people from the entire region from countries from the Dardanelles to Cairo to Islamabad. I have never had a Muslim be rude to me and never has one defrauded me. Always, have I been treated with decency honesty, forthrightness and the most courteous friendliness.

As for Europeans and Americans of both North and South America, they are a mixed group of reactions. For the record, I hate xenophobia, I especially excoriate and will have nothing to do with people who spread Islamophobia. Islamophobia which is the hatred of Islam, is totally wrong and evil and racist and fascist and utterly evil.

Ben, as for your trite and hateful comment, it falls on deaf ears.

Ms. Salam, with all people of good will through out the earth, I say God bless you and your friends in Austria.

    Ma assalaamah,

    Steve in Vista
