Call On The European Union

On the other hand a coalition of major humanitarian, human rights and development organizations called on the European Union today to immediately suspend any further enhancement of its relations with Israel, known as an ‘upgrade’, until it agrees to a comprehensive ceasefire and provides unimpeded humanitarian access. Both Israel’s offensive in Gaza and Hamas rocket attacks into Israel have caused unacceptable civilian casualties.

The Oxfam Agency and the International Federation for Human Rights stated that it was “inconceivable” that the European Union go on closer relationship with Israel at a time we find the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is heading towards crisis point because of Israel’s genocidal attack on Gaza. The President of the International Federation for Human Rights, Suhair Belhassen, said in the joint statement “This is not the time of reward for one of the parties to the conflict (…) The European Union can not move forward in the advancement of relations with Israel while there is now such violations made by Israel.

Please call the Egyptian embassy nearest to you and speak to them about their unconscionable attitude.
