Tzvi Katzover is one of the illegal Jewish settlers in Hebron. Katzover resides in Kiryat Arba, he is involved in massive land thefts and actions of ethnic cleansing around Hebron.
He is the self-styled Major of Hebron - this terrorist is as much the major of Hebron as I am the Major of Vienna.
He is one of the founders of Gush Emunim (Bloc of the Faithful), spearhead of the settlers' movement. He is (one of the most extremist among the leaders of the religious settlers. He is married to Yehudit, a member of the Land of Israel Faithful ( gush Emunim) and a member of the radical extremist Israeli group Women in Green.
21 Dec March 2006 Yehudit Katzover was arrested among three women (women in Green) during a violent activity in Bethlehem, at (the mosque of Belal ben Rabah) which converted by the Israeli military to a Jewish synagogue (Rachel Tomb). The violent demonstration was organized by Yehudit Katzover and Women in Green, Gush Emunim.
A special friend of the USA, Katzover granted Jonathan Pollard a certificate of "honorary citizenship" to Hebron-Kiryat Arba in June, 2007. The certificate reads: "The city of the Forefathers, Kiryat Arba-Hebron hereby grants honorary citizenship to our brother Jonathan Pollard for his heroism and dedication towards the security of the citizens of the State of Israel, today, Independence Day, 5765, the 57th year of the State of Israel, the 37th year since the renewal of the Jewish Community of Hebron"
The certificate was signed by: "Rabbi Dov Lior, Chief Rabbi Hebron-Kiryat Arba, and Mayor Tzvi Katzover, Kiryat Arba Hebron."
