Dov Lior is an illegal immigrant from Ukraine who went by the name of Leibland before the family decided to change it shortly before the Nakhbah. He was born 1933 in Ukraine, in the town of Belz.
Lior is currently the Chief Rabbi of Hebron, and he is the chief religious adviser of the Kach terrorist group.

Lior ordered that on days when Jews celebrate, Muslims can’t access their mosque.
A religious extremist and fanatic racist, Dov Lior is a hate preacher known for his repeated incitements to genocide against Palestinians.
Lior has released religious statements which allow the settlers to poison the livestock and water wells owned by Palestinians in neighboring cities and villages. The settlers followed his advice and poisoned the wells of the farmers near Yatta village, at the south of Hebron. The sheep of the farmers dies after they drank the poisoned water.
Rabbi Lior also released another religious statement (fatwa) in which he encouraged the Palestinians to emigrate as a first step towards ethnic cleansing of all of Palestine, those who remained would be killed according to his ideals.
As the chief rabbi and one of the chief ideologists of the Kach terrorist movement, he professes and promotes a strange ideology of racial superiority which states that Jews are a race apart and superior to all non-jews. This he learnt from his teacher, rabbi Kook.
Whenever I met him on the street in Hebron, he insulted me with vulgar and obscene words. Perhaps this is what qualifies him to be a chief rabbi ?
