Israel violates the international convention on the treatment of prisoners of war. Mohammed Safi Muhammed Al-Ashkar, a Palestinian prisoner of age 29, was murdered today morning at 2 AM by an Israeli jailer, who shot him with dumdum bullets at the "Ansar 3/ Nafha" concentration camp south of Al-Nakab, also known as Ketziot. International laws forbid using dumdum ammunitions, which explode inside the victims bodies. Over 400 IDF soldiers from the Shimshon and Metsada special forces raided eight departments of Palestinian prisoners at Al-Nakab in a savage way, shooting live bullets, destroying and burning the prisoners property.

They were faced by the prisoners who started shouting as a protest against the deplorable savagery of the attack by the jailers. According to the prisoners club, about 250 Palestinian prisoners were injured with "broken legs, injuries to their chests, eyes and heads. Of the victims, 9 of the wounded are in critical conditions. 1.200 prisoners were handcuffed by the jailers and the military. 11.000 Palestinian prisoners interned in the many detention centers of the Israeli Gulag declared hunger strike as a protest against the violation of International laws by the Israeli military and the jailers, who killed and injured hundreds of prisoners at the Al-Nakab / Ansar concentration camp. Israel is the only state which as a matter of official policy violates all international treaties and humanitarian laws about treatment of prisoners of war, and commits crimes against humanity while the world looks the other way while Israel indulges in these atrocities in their Gulag.

An official sources from the Al Nakab / Ketziot concentration camp said that hundreds of IDF special forces from the Nachshon, Shimshon and Metsada brigades entered the prisoners wards, pointing their guns toward the prisoners, and started shooting in different directions and throwing tear gas. They killed Mohammad Al-Ashkar. The prisoners expressed their huge anger and throw their cloths, tomato, and bread at the jailer after the jailer killed Al-Ashkar. 300 prisoners were injured, and 18 tents were burned by the IDF during the shooting. The IDF forces cuffed 1700 prisoners with wires, then they started beating them with batons. They refused to transfer all the injured to hospitals for medical treatment.

The Al Nakab/ Ketziot concentration camp is in the middle of the Negev desert, as can be seen in this Google Maps link. It is near an IDF garrison, an ammunitions depot and an exercise range of the Givati brigade. It is about 3 Km from the border to Egypt. All of these geographic features contribute to totally isolate it and the prisoners who are interned there. The prisoners interned at Al-Nakab and other concentration camps in the Israeli Gulag are not criminals, but "sentenced" to hefty imprisonment terms because of their place in society, activities like participating in communal politics, organizing neighbourhood committees, teaching children, which are a hindrance to the Israeli policy of genocide against Palestinians. About half of the elected members of the Palestinian Parliament are interned in the Israeli Gulag, as well as ministers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, university professors, intellectuals, religious leaders, farmers, public servants, intellectuals, children, women, elderly persons . . .

The Israeli jailers often raid Al-Nakab and other concentration camps in the middle of the night in order to terrorize the people interned there. The incident of last night was sparked because the prisoners responded to the brutal assault of the jailers "with tomatoes, food, shows, pillows". Because of this response, the jailers "felt themselves in danger" and burnt the place down.

Mohammad Al-Ashkar, who was murdered by the Israelis, was from the Saida village near Tulkarem. He had been "sentenced" to two years imprisonment and he was supposed to be released in 50 days. He was the father of a child which had been born while he was interned.

Following the Israeli criminal and barbaric attacks against the prisoners, five Palestinian demonstrators in Hebron were injured by the thugs of Abbas' "Judenrat"-like regime, which had forbidden demonstrations against Israeli the crimes at Nafha by order of their Israeli and American masters.
